Training Offered: Provides training to become a certified Montessori teacher for children (infant to age six). Training consists of 4 phases. Phase I includes 25 lessons completed through independent study at home. Phase II is conducted at the training center and teaches demonstration of curriculum materials. Phase III is an internship in a Montessori school for 9 months, 4 hours per day. Phase III also includes work on a research paper and 3 weekend seminars. Phase IV in the training center lasts for 1 week (9 am. to 4 p.m. each day) and includes review, presentations of research papers, and oral and written exams. Diplomas are issued upon successful completion of training. Training lasts between 1 and 2 years.

Cost: $3,200, payable as each phase of training is completed. All textbooks and manuals are included.
Special Services Available: School officials were not aware of students with disabilities who had received training.
